Macro Environment Analysis
On the last two weeks we have discuss about several topics such as the macro environment analysis, the outsources, offshoring and knowledge administration, another topic we talk about the environmental protection and how it affects on the acceptation of a product or a brand, we also chit chat about demographic aspects, cultural dimension of Hofstede and by last on the last two classes we talk about the marketing, more specifically the needs, wishes and demands of the consumer and the Maslow’s Pyramid.
To get
started I am going to explain what factors include the macro environment, it includes
external factors that usually affect all organizations or most of them, there
are 6 aspects that mainly involve an organization: demographic, technological,
competition, economy, sociocultural and politics.
Now I am
going to explain what the outsource means, outsource means moving the work and
activities of the company, which were previously performed in it, An example is
the “Call-Center” where companies that have their parent company in the United
States subcontract to companies that offer their services and that reside for
example in India, offering a lower price when comparing it if the company did
it on its own.
Other topic I whant to explain is the offshoring, is when
a company chooses one
if the factories that is operating in one contrary and moves it completely to
another, an example is the maquila that some automotive companies carry out
here in Mexico and the return it to country of origin of the company in order
to “label” their finished products and that its production cost is lower.
The last topic
y want to talk is the knowledge administration, is the creation, protection,
development and distribution of information and intellectual assets, in the
last years it have become of much importance that employees be stimulated and
thus develop a competitive advantage.
