Branding Part II

  On today’s class we continue talking about branding and everything that is involved on designing the logo of a brand and how every decision will affect the way the customers relate your brand, no matter if is the color or the font every decision is important. We start with the theme of the brand loyalty that involves better customer retention, more customer referrals, cost-effectiveness and user-generated content (UGC) and reviews. After we finish with the brand loyalty we start talking about how the color is so important on designing a brand, depending on what color you use is the feeling and the emotion you will generate on the customers, for example the yellow is related with optimism, the orange is related with friendly, the read is related with the excitement, purple is related with creativity, blue is related with trust, green is related with peace and the gray is related with the balance.   This week we discuss and start talking about branding, the branding is separated in 5 types brand, logo, isotype, imagotype and isologo. The brand according to the Economic Times we can define it as: a name given to a product and/or service such that it takes on an identity by itself, the brand can contain important aspects that will secure the required differentiation between our competitors. Some important aspects are font, size, illustration, background, etc. The logo is the most common term used by, well. “Logo” means word and comes from the Latin. So, additional elements like symbols, images or icons in the text does not represent a logo. Because a Logo is always a lettering, typesetting, is only a grouping of letters or words. Isotype is from the Greek that means “equal or identical”. In another words an isotype is the graphical representation of the business. This week we haven’t seen any new topic but we have do a new research activity where our professor Christopher gave us a brand such as Samsung, Tere Cazola, Truck Chef, and one I didn’t know about cookies, among others. My team and I have to investigate about several things about Samsung. Searching for this information make me understand way are so many people that like Samsung and in general Android products, the freedom that the operative system gave you is amazing, by the other hand Apple have a restricted operative system so is much more easy to use when you don’t want to have to configure everything on your smartphone, but there is where everything became clear, must the people that like apple can’t see way is there that like more any other smartphone, and even when the people can buy an iPhone there are people that like that feeling of freedom that Samsung give to their consumers. On the last two weeks we have discuss about several topics such as the macro environment analysis, the outsources, offshoring and knowledge administration, another topic we talk about the environmental protection and how it affects on the acceptation of a product or a brand, we also chit chat about demographic aspects, cultural dimension of Hofstede and by last on the last two classes we talk about the marketing, more specifically the needs, wishes and demands of the consumer and the Maslow’s Pyramid. Negotiation and Investor´s Profile

The last two classes we have been talking about to topics that go one with the other the first one is name Negotiation Techniques were we discos what is a negotiation and the stages of the negotiation and the second topic we discos is the investor´s profile, what type of negotiation you need to do with an investor what you need to show him and what no.
